My name is David Wolfring, I have been sober for 37 years. Seeking to find a greater ability to heal emotional wounds and damage on a deeper level, I spent many years exploring alternative therapies, religions, and spiritual paths. The knowledge I gained enabled me to harness an unknown personal power that enhanced my 12 step program and solidified my sobriety. I was drawn to Buddhism, Native American sweat lodge and Holotropic breath work. Combining elements of each of these, I created a unique and soul-bending blend of healing. Escaping the ravages of my life was no easy feat. What I created worked for me and others noticed. Many people approached me for guidance, so I began men’s retreats and have been conducting them for over 30 years. As a sober alcoholic and cancer survivor, I know what is needed to reach into one’s self for strength, mold that power and create a direction for a better path in life. This is a gift. As brothers, we teach each other from our inner strengths and from life's trials, sharing our wisdom.
The Warrior Spirit
It is an intensity of life, filled with energy and a readiness to act
when neededIt is a desire to perfect oneself for the benefit of others,an inner determination to protect one's family, neighborhood, nation and world;
Fairness and the sanity to do what is right and good, doing one's best in everything;
Being true to oneself, honesty, loyalty and integrity.
Willingness to stand up for what is right even when everyone is against you;
Idealism coupled with realism.
A sense of duty greater than one's selfish needs.
The Spiritual Warrior is one who walks on the path of deepening awareness, self inquiry, and healing – one who can, to an ever increasing extent, meet their inner struggles, be intimate with themselves, and discover their true identity as a spiritual being..
